This MP3 player provides as much bang for the buck as any. It is easily to use than the Ipod shuffle and is half the price. I frequently take it with me to go workout.
It takes 1 AAA battery, so if you use rechargables, you can take it with you while the other battery recharges. It is small and run on flash memory, so it can handle shock, unlike hard drive based MP3 players. Also, it is real user friendly since you can plug it in you PC and just drag music to it, like a removable drive.
2GB is a ton of space for music.

This is my favorite MP3, due to reliability, sound, and shock resistance. Dropped multiple times on hard surfaces with no issues. Yesterday, it flew off while I was jumping rope on a concrete patio. No problem. Backlight is good. I get the 18 hours from a single rechargeable AAA. I do not even have to use the button lock, and navigation is solid. Comparing to my more expensive MP3's, I wish I had more than 1 bookmark, but that seldom causes grief. Navigation is fast, and I usually only listen to one audio book at a time. When/If this one breaks, I will buy another. Voice recorder works fine.

it is so cheap...most stores sell it for $69.99 but i got it directly from creative labs for $49.99 and Staples when it was on sale for that same price. yeah, i bought one for myself and one for my sister-in-law! 2 GB player for $50 is a steal. keep in mind that this is a very basic player so if u need FM radio too this is not for u. 2 GB capacity is awesome especially for that low price. creative labs sell the skin and armband separately for $19.99. the built-in microphone and voice recorder is helpful too.
