The real battle between light and dark - The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess

by Rock_On Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Dec 17 '07
Pros: Intriguing level design, new fighting moves, another new Zelda adventure!
Cons: Playing in the Twilight areas, wolf controls feel off
After Nintendo took The Wind Waker in an entirely different art direction with the cell-shading on the Gamecube, many gamers weren't too sure what to think. The gameplay was completely Zelda, but most fans wanted the realistic visuals that ...

The Twilight Princess: Revival of the Big N's Best Franchise

by johnenfield , Feb 01 '07
Pros: New world and new game play elements.
Cons: Link's as tricky to control as ever in a 3-D Zelda game.
Zelda and her hero Link have had a very long and mixed run with Nintendo. From the NES classic "Legend of Zelda" which almost single-handedly created the platform adventure game genre to the "Twilight Princess" which incorporates the best of the new ...

New Link, new features, its about time, a new Legend of Zelda

by metalgurahl , Jan 12 '07
Pros: Its great to finally have a Legend of Zelda game again.
Cons: Its kind of easy, a little redundant too.
Along with Mario, The Legend of Zelda is a Nintendo legend. From all the way back to the original NES days, adventuring Link has always hacked and slashed his way through treacherous and tricky dungeons and large enemy filled fields in an effort save ...

The Twilight Dawns

by Wise1Only , Aug 16 '07
Pros: Challenging dungeons. Superb graphics. Most challenging game since Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Cons: Sound. No magic meter.
Finally got around to playing the oh so hyped up Twilight Princess. As a mega-fan of the Zelda series here I was just lusting at a shot at getting this game. I heard from friends that this game was a bore and just wasn't worth the price it cost. So ...

Letter Found On Lake Hylian Archeological Dig

by madcapellan , Feb 14 '07
Pros: Graphics, story, gameplay, um, oh yeah, Midna
Cons: The bosses are a bit too easy (just take off more hearts!)
The following was recovered from a recent dig near Lake Hylia. The editor advises that there are many details regarding the Twilight Princess that follow, and those that are not completely familiar with this subject are advised to read with ...

Probably the best Zelda game since Ocarina of Time

by kawaiichao , Feb 19 '08
Pros: New Zelda, same old-school charm
Cons: There could have been more done with the whole fighting on horseback thing
Never mind the fact that Twilight Princess has been out for more than a year and I’ve finally gotten my chance to take a crack at it. I’m always behind when it comes to great games like this one, anyway. Yet, even after a few days, I’m really having fun. ...

Rated "T" for "Terrific"

by jesus_follower , Jul 06 '07
Pros: Great Gameplay, Good Graphics, Epic Battles, Cool Bosses, Great new (and old) items, Somewhat Challenging
Cons: Kakariko Village, the Oocca, Bosses should do much more damage per hit
I recently graduated high school, which left me with a lot of gift certificates and money. Since I really wanted a new game, and because I'm a Zelda fanatic, I went to Best Buy and quickly got the last copy they had for the Gamecube. I went home, opened ...

by foxmccloudds , Dec 21 '06
Pros: Great Gameplay, Story, Orchestrated Music, Graphics
Cons: Wolf Link series of parts tend to drag on too long
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is more than just another new Zelda game. It’s particularly the game that people from around the world have been waiting a good 3 years for. The wait was long and strenuous, ...

Not as epic as the past efforts

by branddude , Mar 16 '07
Pros: Smooth gameplay and great graphics that push the Gamecube to it's peak
Cons: Game is way too similar to the older games which makes it feel somewhat stale
Word of note: If you are a major fan of the Zelda franchise then you might want to skip this review. Also this is for the GAMECUBE version of the game, not the Wii. It is safe to say that the latest Legend of Zelda game has become the most talked ...

Just when they have it golden...they get it perfect

by jeujubes , Sep 16 '07
Pros: Large environments and characters that seem to have a life all their own
Cons: Tends to be frustrating in many areas
When I first heard of this game, I thought it would suffer from OHGs (Overhyped Horrible Game Syndrome). Then I played it, and I had to pull my foot out of my mouth for being so completely wrong. Unlike other Zelda games that recycle the story, just ...

Pros: wonderful graphics, interesting new levels and characters

Zelda has been a Nintendo Legend since the NES, and it's not hard to see why. Twilight Princess is a wonderful new addition to this saga, and I enjoyed it very much. The graphics are stunning, the quests are fun and exciting, and the controls are very ...

The Most Fun Game I've Ever Played!

by haus_kat , May 12 '08
Pros: Excellent graphics and so much to do!
Cons: Nothing that I could find!
I have played some of the Legend of Zelda games in the past but this was by far the best one ever and possibly the most fun I've ever had playing any video game. The graphics are so beautiful that many times I was just enjoying the scenery alone. I love ...

Lots of play for the money
by cmmorgan ,Mar 27 '07
Pros: My kids have been playing for weeks and still love it.
Cons: If you rent it, you probably won't finish the game in one rental period
I've watched my kids play this, and couldn't tear myself away. There's so much to the game, and it seems to keep going on and on. If I spend a lot of money for a game, I don't want the kids to be able to beat it (and get bored with it) in couple days like they have with quite a few other games. While a bit violent (you have to destroy a lot of creatures), it's not really graphic. Even my 16-year-old, though, was a little disgusted by the wolf ripping out the Po's soul.
